Adam Crampsie
Chief Executive

Adam is a mental health clinician by background and his experience spans the public, private, and charity sectors. He started his career working in the NHS in mental health, before moving into private healthcare to develop and lead NHS-commissioned services across mental health trusts, acute trusts, clinical commissioning groups, and central government. During this time, he was responsible for the UK operations and development of a multi-million pound business, working in partnership with the NHS to deliver clinical services in around 450 contracts. Adam is passionate about about creating an empowered workforce of passionate people who do amazing things for service users, all underpinned by a simple system that lets them do what they do best.

Scott Vigurs
Chief Operations Officer

Having worked in the mental health sector since 1991, Scott has in-depth, hands-on experience across both statutory and non-statutory organisations in a wide range of clinical, practice development, and managerial roles. As Chief Operations Officer, Scott has responsibility for the overall delivery and performance of the organisation’s services. Using his knowledge, experience, and skills in people management, and an in-depth understanding of strategic development within an expanding organisation, he maintains a focus on best practice and promotes a values-driven approach that upholds good outcomes for the people that Concern Group serves, continually developing and improving how help is provided for people with highly complex needs.

Sarah Dewar
Chief People Officer

Sarah joined us in March 2021, coming from her role as Director of People at an independent provider of integrated community health services. Prior to this, Sarah spent 11 years in HR at a national housing association. Sarah was also Vice Chair of CIPD North East until 2020. Sarah is passionate about supporting and valuing the amazing people who work across Concern Group, creating opportunities for development, recognition, and empowerment in innovative and responsive ways.

Sahreen Safdar
Chief Financial Officer

Sahreen has extensive experience of leading financial strategies in third sector organisations. She has a particular interest in improving existing processes and systems, while managing and embracing change in the constantly-moving environment of the voluntary sector. Sahreen is responsible for leading our finance team, delivering high-quality financial management and control processes, ensuring the security of our current finances, and the future financial planning of Concern Group.

Rose Melvin
Director of Primary Care Services

Rose has over 20 years of experience gained in the public and private sectors, working for the NHS and local authorities. A passionate, innovative, people-person, Rose has an accomplished leadership ability and a proven track record in commissioning services for many target audiences. Rose provides direction and leadership for our senior management team in Insight Healthcare, ensuring that clear clinical pathways are developed and implemented for the benefit of the client group we serve.

Liam Gilfellon
Director of Business Development and Relationships

Liam has 20 years of experience working within the third and statutory sectors. He has led on strategic development programmes at both regional and national levels for PCTs, SHAs and the Department of Health, including leading on the roll-out of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies services across the North East of England. Liam is a PRINCE2 and MSP practitioner with specific skills in programme management within the health sector.
